Successor games to lookout for this remainder of the year

When you have been a fan of a certain video game, you make an effort to know everything there is to know about it. From the storyline, the characters even down to its programming. It gives you the pleasure that you are well-knowledged about the game you are playing with. So whenever there are new updates or new releases about your favorite video game, you are all up on your toes. What more when there is an upcoming sequel or a new volume for your best-loved game series? You just can't wait for it to be released, right? So to add to your excitement, here are some of the most awaited additions to critically-acclaimed games before this year ends.

 

FIFA 23
Release Date: September 30

This release is the last of the series carrying the FIFA title. EA Sports has confirmed that they are ending their 30-year partnership with FIFA. But EA has made clear that FIFA 23 will be the best of the series which will enable fans to experience supreme realistic gameplays with over 19,000 players, 700+ teams, 100 stadiums, and over 30 leagues. The game will feature men's and women's FIFA World Cup with the latest addition of women's club teams and cross-plays. Early access for FIFA 23 on Sept. 27 is also available when you pre-order the Ultimate Edition or sign up to an EA Play membership.

To become acquainted with this game, we suggest going back to FIFA 22 to learn  fundamental gameplays so you can enjoy FIFA 2023 at a different level. 


Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope 

Release Date: October 20 
Console: Switch

This game published by Ubisoft is the successor to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (2017). It is a cross-over between characters from the Mario franchise and Rabbid's Series just like its predecessor's. It has 9 playable characters (Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Rosalina, Edge, and Bowser). Now, this sequel will be taking the cast to space and have them face off against a new foe while they venture through space and travel to different planets to rescue the Sparks and save the galaxy from the Darkmess created by Cursa.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II 
Release Date: October 28
Consoles: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows

This successor for the COD: Modern Warfare is the 19th release of the COD franchise. For the PC platform, it is the return of the game since 2018 with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The game features the return of the Task Force 141 who will be deployed with the player as they battle through child's play missions to perilous infiltration tactical ops and  highly classified assignments. Fans should look forward to some improvements like a new Gunsmith,  futuristic AI system,  and a  play and feel better gaming experience as it is designed on their new engine. 

If you are new to the COD franchise and are eager to play this game, you might want to familiarize yourself first with the fan-favorite prequels for this series like Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

 

God of War Ragnarok 
Release Date: November 9
Console: PS5, PS4

This sequel to 2018's God of War is one of the most long-awaited games for Playstation exclusives this year. After being delayed for its release last year, Santa Monica has stated that God of War Ragnarok will be the last installment in the Norse Era. Players will join Kratos and a teenage Atreus as they explore more to each of the Nine Realms to search for answers to the prophesied battle and to put a halt to the eponymous world-ending Ragnarok. They will face fearsome adversaries along the way which will make them choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.

The enhancements in this game will definitely take over the original adventure and make your game experience even better. So to fully enjoy these enhancements, better check God of War now. 

 

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 
Release Date: November 18 
Console: Switch

Out of all the Pokémon series, Scarlet and Violet are the first open-world RPGs and the first installment of the ninth generation of Pokémon. The game is set in the Paldea region which is described as "a land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, and mountain ranges." Depending on whether they're playing Scarlet or Violet, the players will attend one of the schools: Naranja or Uva Academy, which are located in a large city called
Mesagoza. Even though there are journeys that players should embark on, the areas in Mesagoza are seamlessly connected so that players can move freely between jungles and civilization whenever they want.
